Music Packages + Anticipated Questions!
Howdy yall, just wanted to make a blog post about my pricing and explain some things that didn’t fit on the graphic.
First of all, if you just want me to come and do pics for your show, that is free (please guest list me or venmo the cover charge unless I was already planning on going), however if I have to travel more than 20 miles from Manchester, I’ll let you know how much travel is but generally $0.50/mile.
Promos before a show-
How does it work? Promos are generally done between load in and doors. Usually there’s a spare 20 minutes somewhere in there. I can come earlier of course, and this also includes me staying for the show and taking pictures of your set- and most likely other bands’ sets as well. Since this option comes with a fee, I’d of course appreciate guest list, but I can pay my cover if needed.
Promos only-
You can choose a location or I can make some suggestions. I’ll walk you through posing, facial expressions, and what to do with your hands. (I do that during the 20 minute pre-show session too.) I allow 1 outfit change in a 45 minute session, if you’re looking for a longer amount of time and multiple locations and *looks* please let me know.
Recording Documentary-
Just pretend I’m not there basically. I’ll get what I need, and we can do some promos as well if you want! I’m gonna switch back and forth between multiple cameras the entire time and when it’s all over you’ll have a good amount of photos & video to work with. The deliverables listed are the minimum. I’m open to doing multiple days as long as my schedule allows- depending on the project, I’m guessing I’d charge $75 for each additional day- but I’d need to learn more about what you’re doing to be sure. If you book a multiple day project, I’ll design a zine and help you through the printing process at no additional charge if that’s something you’re interested in.
Add ons-
Instax/instax wides will be scanned, delivered digitally, and I will mail or give you the physicals next time I see you.
What’s the difference between half frame and standard frame 35mm? Each roll of film comes with a certain amount of photos, or “exposures”. My half frame camera splits each one in two, so you get double the photos, however it’s a smaller image so it’s not quite as crisp outside of certain distances- so promos aren’t necessarily a good fit for this, but candids are. It is also more expensive to develop, hence the difference in price. Ask to see examples!
Delivery-
All digital media is delivered via dropbox, generally within 2 weeks. Often sooner (shows are generally done within 2 days). If we are doing an extensive session it can take up to 4 weeks to deliver digital photos, video, and film scans. I will do my best to get it to you as soon as possible- I am addicted to my craft and it’s very hard for me to put a project down. Ask me why my dishes aren’t done… (that’s why).
